The color pink is in honor of little Eva Faith who is being adopted by the sweetest family. I just had the pleasure of meeting her grandmother & I had met Emy her mommy a couple of time's before thru the Stanley family. They are anxiously waiting their precious beautiful baby girl from Ethiopia. I was invited to a jewelry party by their very good friend Julie and all of the proceeds of the party will go towards their adoption and to help eleviate some of their expenses. We can all help by praying for this beautiful family that God as nitted together. We have been praying for them and hope that you will too. Please pray that their baby girl will be home soon and that God will continue to be with them as a family of 4 and bless them. Blessings!!!
Have new pics of our baby boy and would love to show him off but can't until we have our court date and pass. We did however get his height, weight and some info on how he is doing. Unfortunately he is not doing so well, our director informed us that he is really missing his family, he is sad and cries a lot. This news has really just torn at our hearts!!!! We feel so helpless at this point, we feel so sad for our little boy and his mom whom we are sure is missing him terribly as well, I just keep thinking how Grayson, who is his age would be feeling if she were in a strange place away from us. Please pray for Cooper, pray for his family, pray that our Saviour will hold him safe in his arms until we can bring him home to his forever family. We have asked our family, some of our closest friends and our church family to pray that things will go faster than usual so that we can give him the love & stability that he desperately needs right now.
Timmy & I read this somewhere and believe it to be so simple yet so true and so profound. That by God's grace we all experience adoption. Our status is from poverty stricken spiritual orphans to heirs of God's eternal kingdom in heaven. As ex-orphans we should all be in this together. All who trust in Christ alone have been adopted by God. We believe Adoption is a reflection of God's grace & Adoption is the wisdom of God's mission. So please join us in praying for the orphans of this world, all of them!!!! God calls us to do this, he commands it. "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."Galatians 6:2 & The King will reply, " I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me. Matthew 24:40
My sister put together a Walk- A- Thon Fundraiser for our sweet boy. She thought this would be a great idea to keep our process going while waiting to hear from grants etc. The fundraiser was this past Saturday at the GCHS track.Plus it allowed me to focus in something else other than all of the paperwork, it's amazing how much is involved. The weather was awesome, a little chilly but no rain, yeah!!! We had some great friends and family come out to support us. Timmy & I thought it would be great to take my laptop and let everyone see the video we had received, it was awesome for our friends & family to share in the joy of seeing our sweet baby boy, I do believe there were a few tears shed. We had a great time, just celebrating what God has placed on our hearts and has in store for our family. There was riding toys, scooters and footballs & soccer balls for kids and adults alike to play with. After the walk we went out to dinner with Timmy's cousin Chris, his wife and the youngest of their 3 kids, we had a great time, it was so nice of them to come down and to get to spend time with them. Thanks guys for your love & support.God is good and has truly blessed us. Thanks sis, what a great idea. Love ya!!!
Since the Fundraiser we have gotten word from Sue that Cooper is now out of the hospital, he was being treated for severe malnourishment and is now in the transition house, thank God!!! Please continue to pray for him, pray for his birth mother whom I'm sure is missing him terribly, please also pray that our case will be submitted to court very soon & that we will pass court the first time. Please pray that our father will keep him safe in his arms until we can bring him home. Also please begin to pray for me and my side kick Kristy Northcutt, we will be traveling at some point to Ethiopia, either for our court appt. or to bring Cooper home. I'll be posting to keep everyone up to date. One more shout out to all of you that are behind us, praying for us and or sweet baby boy, it means more to us than you can imagine!! xxx's & 000's to all
A week ago Wednesday our director called stating that she had 3 little boys that she wanted to send us video on. Of course Timmy & I could not believe it, we thought it would be at least another month or longer before this would happen. She said that we should get them by Friday, the next 2 days seemed like forever. The videos did not come, disappointment. Then spoke with Sue again Friday afternoon, Sue asked that we look at the viewing list. We took the next few hours to just pray that God would lead us to make the right decision & we are very confident that he did. Sue called us late that afternoon. We told her that we wanted to accept a referral on a little boy who is believed to be about 3 years old, he had the sweetest face & the most beautiful smile. His big brown eyes just called out to us. In our hearts he is ours!!!! We are completely overjoyed. What was amazing is that my brother, his wife and their kids were in route to KY from Indiana and we had already planned to have a big cook out at our house that Saturday evening. We received Cooper's video the morning of our family get together. Timmy & I decided to wait and watch the video with my family. Needless to say it was amazing. We laughed, we cried, we are all already in love with him and are counting down the days until he gets here. What is even more amazing is that my mom always works on Saturdays until at least 10 or 11 but was only scheduled until 4 that day therefore she was with us when we watched the video as well. God is good!!!!! Please pray for Cooper, please pray for his birth mother that had to give up her sweet baby boy. Please pray that we will get submitted to court asap and will pass court the first time.
The kids and I have been soooo excited that spring break has arrived. Monday we just hung out and really just enjoyed hanging out. Tuesday, we got to play outside. Wednesday we packed some water bottles and walked from our house to the school playground with my sister & nieces. We had a blast, the older 3 kids rode their scooters while, the little one's rode in their stroller which of course left the pushing to Crys and I. What a work out. She and I had a lot of laughs on the way, during and on the journey back home. Hoping to have Timmy down load the pics I took this wk. Thursday we took a road trip up to Dayton Ohio, then settled in that night for one of our movie nights. Today we spent the day at the zoo, the weather was perfect!!!! We had such a great time. It's funny with our kid's the zoo never gets old, they act as if every time is their first, there's a lot to be said and learn from that. It's amazing how God teaches us through our children. Children, what a gift!! God is good. We did however think and speak of Cooper several times today, we can't wait until we can take him to the zoo.
