Our first Post

How our adoption came to be. We had close friends at our church Foster and then Adopt. We discussed adoption in passing on several occassions but really did not look into it any further for a long time. Then some other close friends of ours began their adoption journey. She was telling us of the many children that are just out there waiting for a forever family. So Timmy and I began to talk about the possibility and this time began to pray about it. We prayed that if it was God's will for our family that he would place it on our hearts to do so, we prayed for close to a year and then the burden on our hearts made our choice clear. So began our leap of faith and our adoption process.We have since decided it was time to create a blog for our friends & family who are wanting to keep up with our adoption. Especially now that we lack only 1 more document for our dossier and are hoping & praying to get a referral soon after it reaches Ethiopia.We feel so blessed to have 3 beautiful children but feel that God called us to bring one of his children into a forever family. After looking first into domestic adoption, then international we have decided on the country of Ethiopia and are hoping to adopt a little boy between the ages of 2-4. We do not yet know what he looks like, how old he will be, but we know that God knows all of this and has since the beginning. We do know however that his name will be Cooper and that his family can not wait for him to get here!!!! Please pray for Cooper & our family as we embark on our adoption journey.
